The 0.2% proof stress is about twice that of general-use austenitic stainless steel, enabling sheet-metal thinning compared to conventional designs, while pitting corrosion resistance is equivalent to or even better than SUS304.
The Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) is better than austenitic stainless steel and because the nickel content is one-quarter that of SUS304, it provides a buffer against the cost effect from raw material price fluctuations.
